Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Where can I find a good deal on a flight, hotel, tour, cruise or rental car?
Answer: Try AAA.com first for great deals at your fingertips or visit or call your local AAA office for personal travel agency service.

Question: Can you send me a map or guidebook?
Answer: These are distributed through your local AAA club. Members can order free North American maps and TourBook® guides at AAA.com or visit their local office. International maps and guidebooks are available at many AAA offices or members may visit AAA.com/barnesandnoble. TripTik® Travel Planner, with mapping, lodging, restaurant and destination information, is available to all at AAA.com

Question: What documentation is required for my international trip?
Answer: Many answers can quickly be found at Travisa.com, AAA’s preferred passport and visa service provider. Your local AAA office can assist with forms, passports photos, International Driving Permits, foreign currency and international travel planning.

Question:  I'd like to become a AAA inspector. How do I do that?
Answer:  Generally, we look for individuals that have the skills required to work on an independent basis and can demonstrate good attention to detail. They need to have significant prior work experience within the hospitality industry so they can relate to the property owners on their level. We also look for those that have established themselves through higher education and demonstrating a progressive work history. Currently there are no vacancies, however, one can always apply at http://www.aaa.com/jobs/.

Question: I’d like to share a travel experience I’ve had. Can I do that here?
Answer: If your experience is related to a story or question on the blog, please use the comment box. We’d really like to hear it!

In addition, there are two ways to communicate your travel input to AAA via the internet: AAA.com/TourBookcomments, where you can fill out a form identifying yourself and specifying your positive or negative input about accommodations (or TourBook features.) This input will generate an automatic response to you, follow-up from our Member Services department and will be communicated as needed to our information editors and inspectors. It is not made public.

At AAA.com/TravelerReviews, you can rate accommodations, restaurants, destinations and attractions and write a review, which will be posted on the review site. That way, it is shared with other AAA members and visitors to the site who can benefit directly and immediately from your observations. Your submission is anonymous and, as no information is gathered from the reviewer, does not result in a response to you, though we do monitor and consider the input.
